Calling DECC from overseas

Some overseas callers have experienced problems connecting to our new 0300 numbers.

If you have difficulties calling an extension from overseas, please call our dedicated 24 hour switchboard. It will receive your call and put it through to a named person or extension.

Complaints

You can make your complaint in writing, by phone, or email. We deal with all complaints confidentially.

If you have details of the person your complaint should be addressed to, please contact them to give them the opportunity to sort things out with you.

If you do not have this information, please get in touch with our enquiries unit (0300 060 4000 or correspondence@decc.gsi.gov.uk), who will give you the contact details for the most appropriate person. Alternatively, our enquiries unit can pass your complaints and comments.

To help us process your complaints please provide the following information:

  • the part of the Department which is relevant to your complaint, and a contact name (if you know this)
  • information on whether it is an original complaint or a follow-up to a reply you were not satisfied with
  • a clear description of the complaint and what you would like us to do to sort things out
  • your full postal address, phone number and fax number (and email address if you have one)

Fraud or irregularity

If you wish to raise any concerns about the loss or misuse of DECC funds, resources or assets due to fraud or corruption, please contact the DECC Counter Fraud Team. Your information will be treated in confidence. You do not have to give your name, however; this will assist us in taking forward your concerns.
